Warm, breathable and super soft (no itch!)
I initially bought this hat for my son, however I always find myself out of the house without a hat. Somehow I got in the habit of leaving it in my jacket pocket, likely for my son. But I would find myself remembering its presence and putting it on in times of need. It has saved my ears from the cold on countless occasions now! (Don't worry I always have a hat for my son as well.)
We now have hats for the whole family!
Toddler puts up no fights with this cozy lightweight beanie! So warm and compact! We have one in every size, the whole family loves them! Excellent quality and amazing merino fabric.
She loves this hat! And there is still room to grow!
This hat seems to be the perfect weight to be warm without being bulky. My son doesn't tolerate wearing winter hats well, but I dropped him off at his outdoor preschool this morning and he was still wearing this hat when I picked him up hours later. Unheard of for him! It's also really soft and stretchy and looks like it will fit for seasons to come!
I love all of the Wildhaven Wools pieces I ordered for my kids. The beanie is adorable and the crew neck tees are so cozy and well made. I love that everything is made from high-quality Merino wool because you know the pieces will last. Great company with a wonderful mission!

Where are our clothes made?
Every design starts in Haines, Alaska at our studio on Main St. We have an idea and we use scrap fabric to bring it to life. If we like it, we proceed to patterning and a studio run.
Our wool comes from New Zealand, where they have a thriving and sustainable merino wool industry, with the highest ethical and eco-standards in the world. After shearing, the wool is sent to Vietnam where it is spun, dyed and knit into fabric. That fabric gets sent to us or our manufacturer where it is sewn up. In addition, some of our wool is "rescued" or "deadstock" meaning it is left-over fabric from larger manufacturers.
Some items are sewn right in Haines, while others are made by a small, trusted manufacturer in Los Angeles, California. Once sewn, all products return to Haines, where they’re finished, packaged, and shipped directly to you.
What is Sustainable Fashion?
Better Materials, Less Waste.
At Wildhaven, we call ourselves a "sustainable clothing brand", but what does that mean? We strive to make clothes that have a minimal impact on our earth. To us, that means using natural biodegradable materials like merino wool and sourcing from ethical factories with the highest eco-standards. It also means making practical durable clothes that last, not just for one season, but for years.
