What does "grow-with-me" mean?
How do the clothes grow?
Our clothes have a little extra room in all the right places to get bigger as your child grows. This means they fit for 3x longer than conventional sizing. We have tested this sizing through the years and found that it really works.
Here are some of the features of our "grow-with-me" design:
- Raglan sleeves for a flexible fit in the shoulders
- Extra long cuffs that to roll up without bulk
- Wide soft waistband that can be worn high on the waist or folded over
- Long reinforced knee panels for durability over the full size range

Made For REAL Kids
Our clothes are designed for real kids, who play in the mud and run wild! Our products are all tested by active Alaskan kiddos who play outside all day, in any weather. That's why reinforced knees and dark colored cuffs are must. Let them get dirty! That's part of being a kid.
Speaking of getting dirty, our clothes are made for busy families who don't always have time to hand wash and hang dry. Our merino is machine washable and can be put in the dryer without shrinking. Hand washing is a great goal, and we do it when we can, but this is real life. Busy families need clothes can wash and wear when needed and our wools stand up to the test.
Reinforced Knees
Double-layer knees with reinforced seams. When you make clothes that fit a long time, they also have to last!
Machine Washable
Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. In a pinch, we throw our wools in with the rest and they come out just fine!
Soft, Cozy, Breathable
Sensitive skin? No worries. Our wools are silky soft and breathable. Hypoallergenic and antimicrobial.
Made in the USA
Our products are all made in the USA and produced in small batches to ensure quality and reduce waste.
All our wools are designed in Haines, Alaska. Some designs are made at our Haines studio and some are outsourced to a small manufacturer in Portland, Oregon. All products are finished, packaged and shipped from Haines to you.
Premium Ethical Merino Wool
We are committed to using only ethical wool in our products. Our wool is sourced from New Zealand where they produce the best merino wool in the world and have strict ethical and environmental regulations for ranchers. Our fabrics are all Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), and OEKO-TEK certified.

Our new favorite outfit for outside play! My daughter just turned one and the 6-18m fits amazing with room to grow. The reinforced knees are AMAZING for a crawler, they hold up so well. The colors in this are just stunning and the flower patch is the sweetest little feminine touch. The material is super soft but seems to still be really durable from our experience so far.
This was for our 2 year old granddaughter. Though she can’t express her opinion - her mom told me that they fit great and are really well made. You can tell a lot of thought went into their creation by the fact that they grow with the child! Nice and soft and it makes her outdoor play in the winter most pleasant!
Amazing baselayer set that's made to hand down. I love that they're made in Haines Alaska, my kids adore the appliques and colors (I always love contrast trim!), and they hold up really well and fit perfectly.
I got my daughter the 6-18m set last Summer at the Haines Fair, and we love it so much! Since babies grow so darn fast, the "grow with me" style caught my eye first- and since, we have been able to wear it very comfortably with room still to grow!
The material has stood the test of time and lots of rough play. Merino wool is perfect for Alaska's bipolar weather. Not to mention the cutest colors and patches!!

These are the BEST! My 3-year-old and 5-year-old love how comfortable they are. We have worn them skiing, ice skating, and on a weekend cabin trip. The customer service is great! We need a few more pairs! I love the colors and design.

I purchased a pair of these for each of my daughters over a year ago and they are still going strong! The girls love how comfortable they are and I love that they are able to stay warm and be outside all day. The quality is top notch. To be able to get 2 years of use out of these and still be able to pass them down to another little one is a testament to their durability. We will be ordering larger sizes soon. Great work Julia!
These layers are well made and made to last. They have grown with my son from 6 months to 13 months and are still fitting as he stretches out. Living in a cold climate where we spend a lot of time outside they get lots of use and are holding up well. Love all the color combos!
I met Julia at Juneau’s Public Market this winter, and I’m so glad I did! Julia’s work is impeccable. My kiddos play rough, and I love how well our Wildhaven wool has held up. I bought this set for my 6 month old grand daughter. They are awesome! you can fold the arms and legs up when they are small and roll them out as they grow! Also super warm and cute.
This is the perfect layer! Under ski clothes, rain gear, or on a sunny day on the beach, our two boys wear this layer weekly even to look adorable and matching for whatever event we’re headed to. I highly recommend this layer! We sized up so they can have them for longer, the sleeves roll back nicely. They love the hood! We have selveral merino layers so we know the program; wash on cold and hang to dry for longevity.
Magic woolies! We purchased a set for our 6 and 8 year old and they LOVE them. They are comfortable, well made and so versatile. They wear them year-round - hiking in the summer to skiing in the winter and all the weather in-between. Bonus - they are made from sustainably sourced wool and made by an Alaskan family. We ordered the hooded set with mountain patches. This set is crafted with such detail. The seams are perfect. We purchased for our now 6 month old to wear through 18 months and the sizing is spot on. We live in Norway and here there are many wool products to choose from. Since we are from Seattle, I wanted to support a local US outdoor business so was excited to try Wildhaven. The merino is very thick and durable, feels like silk and is flexible for baby to easily get in and out of the hoodie. The pattern and colors are so unique. We will buy more and try some different patches and patterns. We use for winter hiking, skiing and play outdoors. Highly recommend if you are on the hunt for a wool base that will last. 🏔️🐑✨🤍
